We are hiring for an **IT Administrator **based out of our Vancouver office. This role is responsible for ensuring uptime, integrity, and security of Fast + Epp IT systems and software. This role plans, implements, and maintains the company IT infrastructure, including servers, systems, networks, and software - you would additionally play a key role in managing user access controls, data backups, and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and support business continuity efforts. The IT Administrator is responsible for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing IT resources to ensure a reliable and efficient IT environment. **Day-to-Day Duties**:

- Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure reliable, secure and efficient operation of systems and networks
- Recommend, develop, plan, manage, implement, and fully document information security projects and processes
- Monitor systems and networks for alerts, taking action to resolve and/or escalate
- Deploy, configure and manage software via Microsoft InTune
- Implement, upgrade and decommission infrastructure components
- Manage and complete technical projects
- Manage help desk and work on complex tickets
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to team members
- Work with vendors to resolve escalated and high-priority support issues
- Coordinate technical support visits across all offices
- Ensure proper technical documentation is in-place and up to date
- Participate in the employee onboarding process by setting up new users and ensuring they have appropriate access to the needed hardware and software and facilitating an IT orientation session with new employees. Managing the IT components of employee offboarding
- Manage technical vendor relationship and vendor escalations
- Hardware and software asset management
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software purchases
- Assist Director of Operations with setting and managing the IT budget; and leading the annual computer refresh program
- Work with all departments to understand their technology and software needs and expectations.
- Design and maintain software roadmap

**What you bring to the table**:

- 3+ years experience as an IT Administrator, IT Coordinator, Systems Administrator or similar role
- Technology degree or diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting Microsoft environments including Active Directory, O365, Azure (Intune deployments), Teams and Exchange. SharePoint experience is an asset.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure architecture, networking, virtualization, identity, security and storage
- Good understanding of network components switches, routers, firewalls, VPN tunnels and configuration of end user devices and wireless access points.
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to transform technical concepts and processes into clear, concise, straightforward language for non-technical people
- Capacity for regular multitasking with the ability to set priorities effectively
- Ability to maintain composure during high volume situation
- Experience assessing technology needs and making technology recommendations
