**Position Summary**:
Under the direction of the Manager, Career Education, the primary responsibilities of this position will be to administer and market the Indigenous Career Education office to Indigenous students at both the University of Regina and First Nations University. Furthermore, this position will seek out Indigenous employers to engage with Indigenous students.

**Duties involved**:

- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with current employers, especially Indigenous focused employers;
- Actively marketing the Indigenous Co-op/Internship program to new employers;
- Recruiting new employers into the program, especially the Full-Circle Summer Internship program;
- Conducting student/employer job site evaluations;
- Creating and delivering public presentations to respective stakeholders;
- Counseling and advising students on Co-op/Internship and other employment related matters;
- Acting as a liaison between the Indigenous Career Education office and the Centre for Experiential and Service Learning (CESL), and the ta-tawâw Student Centre, First Nations University and the Office of Indigenous Engagement

Position Requirements

**Position Requirements**:

- A University undergraduate degree is required combined with a minimum of 4 years’ experience. Previous experience as a University of Regina Co-op/Internship student (previous Full-Circle Summer Internship students are highly encouraged to apply); or experience in human resource management and/or marketing are definite assets. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
- Career Counseling experience or knowledge would be a major asset - Have you attended one of Career Counseling workshops?
- An excellent understanding of the Centre for Experiential and Service Learning and Career Education as well as the Co-op and Internship programs at the University of Regina;
- Demonstrated experience working in complex databases such as: Banner and Caspur would be an asset;
- Knowledge of Indigenous Career Education at the University of Regina and First Nations University;
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture, issues and labour market trends.
- Good familiarity with the labour market in Saskatchewan and Alberta especially, but also nationwide;
- Experience counseling, advising and mentoring students.
- Exceptional presentation skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently;
- Highly organized and an effective time manager;
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, travel within and outside the province and country when required; and,
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Preference will be given to Indigenous APT applicants who meet the position requirements.

Physical Demands

Light lifting at times, helping with Career Fair set-up, etc.

Pay Grade APT 4 Salary Range $61,375 - $82,823 Annually Status Permanent Work Hours

8:15am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
