**Description**:
The Housing Staffing Coordinator works closely with the Housing Director and the Housing Case Management Team to oversee the operation of SCP’s Peer homes. SCP’s Staffing Coordinators provide direction and support to a diverse team of staff while promoting the growth and development of SCP’s Housing program. As the Housing Staffing Coordinator you will be expected to comply with industry standards and best practices while adhering to all SCP mandated approaches, policies, processes, and protocols in the completion of your duties and fulfillment of your role.

**Qualifications (Education & Experience)**
- Secondary completion required, post secondary in human services preferred
- Front line youth care experience required, manager or supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge and experience in:

- Case planning and case management
- Program management and coordination
- Developing, leading, & supporting teams
- Working with Indigenous populations, vulnerable populations
- Working with youth with varying abilities and challenging behaviors

**Requirements (Skills & Competencies)**
- **Valid Driver’s License with Driver's Abstract**:

- **Criminal Record Check **with** Vulnerable Sector Clearance**:

- **Cultural awareness required**
- Strongly developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, & communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills, time management, attention to detail, & accuracy
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, & meet deadlines

**Duties & Responsibilities (Outcomes to be monitored quarterly)**

**Quality Assurance**
- Ensure the Housing team is meeting or exceeding industry standards & best practices
- Ensure the Housing team is adhering to case management schedules
- Ensure the Housing team is complying with current agency policies & guidelines
- Review communications and documentation for quality and compliance
- Observe and review staff/youth interactions for alignment with SCP approaches
- Document observations and coaching in personnel files
- Oversee the upkeep of SCP’s peer homes health and safety standards

**Staff Development & Support**
- Collaborate with Recruitment and Hiring coordinator to fill staff vacancies
- Support new staff in shadow shifts and first shifts
- Identify training and skill gaps and connect staff with resources & training
- Support staff in managing difficult/challenging youth behaviors
- Conduct youth care worker check-ins and reviews
- Regularly update staff personnel files
- Coach housing team on mastering and implementing SCP’s official approaches
- Provide professional development support for staff, employing SCP’s disciplinary policy as needed

**Scheduling**
- Set up and maintain SCP’s scheduling platform/module
- Ensure daily schedules meet labour standards and scheduling best practices
- Coordinate schedules, time off requests
- Review schedules and correct errors as required
- Publish schedules quarterly and approve staff hours biweekly
- Maintain daily records including staff availability, hours worked, absenteeism, tardiness

**Program Support**
- Facilitate/attend staff meetings
- Schedule crisis line coverage for Housing
- Rotating crisis line coverage (1 week on 5 weeks off)
- Attend OHS committee meetings
- Other tasks as assigned
