**Summary**:
DMC is currently looking for a Corporate Controller to join our team on a permanent basis, based in our Vaughan office location. The Corporate Controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for tax, accounting, financial reporting, payroll and treasury functions of the organization, which includes the management and development of the accounting team, by providing expert technical knowledge, effective leadership and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
**Responsibilities**:
- Full ownership of consolidated and entity monthly, quarterly and annual audited external financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Manage all systems and processes related to day-to-day accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Manage both internal and external audits and other financial reporting and tax engagements
- Streamline reporting processes to facilitate faster month and quarter end closes, including the implementation of value-added software tools (i.e. automation), while seeking to continuously improve accuracy and value-added decision making
- Responsible for the establishment and monitoring of proper internal controls to safeguard the Company’s asset in compliance with global corporate policies
- Manage the preparation of the corporate and consolidated group annual budget and forecasts
- Oversee the payroll department and ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements in relevant jurisdictions
- Ensure effective treasury management processes are in place at the corporate level
- Coaching and mentoring of direct reports, providing guidance, training and career development
- Ad hoc tasks as requested by the CFO

**Qualifications and Education**:
- You are a designated CPA with a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in publicly traded companies with 5 + years in progressively senior management roles
- Post-secondary education
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting standards including IFRS
