GFL Environmental is looking for an **Analyst - Corporate Cards** to join our team based out of our Vaughan Corporate Office The Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that all card purchase transactions follow the GFL P-Card policy, through monthly audits and follow up with the card holders. In addition, any purchase card support and training that may be required to the purchase card community and new onboarding staff will also be the responsibility of the Analyst, Corporate Cards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Performs audits on various p-card transaction spend and receipts for compliance against policy
- Follows up to ensure timely expense submissions by cardholders
- Review and identifies exceptions that require further approvals as well as all non-compliance reporting
- Oversees internal control compliance with approval requirements
- Communicates audit issues and problems to management
- Escalates any repeat non-compliance cardholders to Treasury for further follow up and action
- Ensures tracking, timely investigation and resolution of policy violations
- Monitors the P-Card program spending against the GFL P-Card policy, to ensure compliance, to minimize credit losses and to identify financial risks
- Supports inquiries and training for all p-card cardholders and approvers as required
- Daily administration of the P-card and Fuel card program, issuance and cancellation of cards, adding card holders and drivers to the system
- Correspondence with the business to address questions and resolve issue relating to the fuel card program.
- Oversees and initiates timely processing of monthly transactions into GFL’s financial system
- Researches and presents recommendations/solutions on p-card issues, policy, and potential problems
- Tracks and analyzes P-Card program statistics, identifies trends and makes recommendations for program enhancements
- Completes a program risk assessment on a regular basis
- Remains knowledgeable on the function, ability, and scope of the P-Card & Fuel Card program and provide recommendations for improvements
- Reviews card policies and procedures on a regular basis
- Supports the implementation of ongoing improvements to card program
- Partners with A/P, Treasury, Purchasing, and other internal departments to identify top Vendors/Suppliers to implement into the procurement card program
- Provides UAT support in for upgrades, implementations, and system changes
- Other duties as assigned

**Knowledge, Skills and Competencies**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a P-Card Analyst or Internal Audit Analyst
- Experience with a Fuel card program would be an added asset
- Proficiency and certification preferred related to the work in any financial or auditing area. Examples of certification would include but are not limited to Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Public Examiner
- Able to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, meeting set deadlines with multiple interruptions
- Detail oriented with effective follow-up skills
- Strong analytical skills - collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions
- Knowledgeable in statistical equations, formulas, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and customer satisfaction experience
- Computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel (Advanced level), PowerPoint and Outlook required
- Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
- Ability to build rapport and communicate appropriately and effectively with clients and peers at all levels of the organization
- Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff privacy
- Multi-tasking is required throughout the day with various groups in order to close a case, if the information available is incomplete, inaccurate or inconsistent
- Help develop a best in class GFL’s Vendor Support center by maintaining & upholding all company policies and departmental procedures, as well and demonstrating a level of professionalism and communication consistent with the expectation of this position
