**Job Description Summary**:
As a Procurement Manager - Contract Manufacturing you will manage the business partnerships between STEMCELL and its key outsourcing manufacturing partners. You will lead a team of Category Managers focused on cross-functional efforts to identify and onboard STEMCELL’s global manufacturing partners and define the category initiatives and strategic methodologies.

In this role you will manage the internal and external-facing activities for outsourced manufacturing, which will include facilitating collaboration on initiatives to reduce manufacturing and supply chain risks and resolving quality and commercial issues.

The Procurement Manager will work closely with STEMCELL’s internal teams (Product and Process Development, Quality, Business Development and Operations, Supply Chain Operations, and Finance) to develop and realize STEMCELL’s long-term global outsourcing strategy.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- As a people leader, you will provide technical expertise and may oversee day-to-day scheduling, provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship
- You will develop market knowledge through identifying market leaders, understanding value chains, supply and demand drivers, monitoring supply trends and shifts in technology to identify areas of opportunity and risk
- You will lead cross functional strategic sourcing and supplier selection; you will work closely with internal departments to align and ensure the selection meets the needs of the business
- You will lead contract negotiations in collaboration with Legal, and facilitate post-award contract management and execution.

**Knowledge and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's or advanced degree with 10 years of relevant experience in procurement, manufacturing or supply chain discipline
- Knowledge and experience in technology transfer, manufacturing and supply chain is required
- Strong negotiation skills, strong problem solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively to establish win-win scenarios, both internally and externally, is a required
- Strong analytical skills; experience using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, experience with SAP and exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or cGMP is an asset
- Project management or coordination experience is an asset
