**Food and Conference Services - Full time Food Service Aide 1**

St Peter’s is a Catholic Seminary of the Diocese of London, providing education programs for those preparing for priesthood, permanent diaconate and lay ministry.

**Responsibilities**:
The employee is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods. Follow set up, cleaning/sanitizing policies within the dining hall areas. Organizes, cleans/sanitizes food/beverage stations. Additional duties include catering set up and deliveries, receiving and storing deliveries, training of staff, assistance for special functions/events with the cook.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years in Kitchen service, cooking experience, in a hospitality or residential establishment.
- WHIMIS, Food Handler’s Certificate.

**Wages**: $19.73

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Demonstrated organizational skills with ability to comprehend verbal/written instructions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build healthy partnerships with customers, peers, and managers.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a positive, genuine, professional attitude.
- Proven ability and natural inclination to respond courteously to instruction, questions and comments.
- Relief breakfast cook/food preparation as required especially executing culinary offerings for special events.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple conflicting priorities, repetitive tasks as required in an environment with some interruptions.
- Health and physical condition consistent with bending, prolonged standing, walking, lifting to 20 kg. and movement of equipment as required.
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate industrial dishwasher. Manages recycling and waste bins.
- Demonstrated dependability, professional appearance.
- Inventory control. Take initiative and follow through on work assignments.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
