**Job Summary**:
In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Provincial Health Services Authority patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at PHSA, and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position. The Program Coordinator contributes to the development, maintenance and advancement of the programs of the Centre for International Child Health (CICH). This requires participation in the planning and execution of both the strategic and operational components of the programs in order to fulfill the goals of the programs and ultimately the vision of the Centre. Functions overseen by this position include international partnerships; program content, coordination and delivery; stakeholder (internal and external) contribution and participation; communications, project and administrative support; as well as fiscal adherence.

**Duties/Accountabilities**:

- Collaborates with stakeholders (internal and external) and serves as a liaison to ensure program components are completed, reported and evaluated in order to meet commitments. Closely tracks program progress communicating divergence and works with program leaders to ensure alternative actions/plans are developed, approved and implemented.
- Monitors and approves program invoices ensuring program expenditures are as budgeted. Calculates and recommends budget revisions to align with approved program changes, unexpected costs and variance in spending patterns.
- Ensures appropriate documentation is completed and risk management strategies are in place in relation to staff, faculty and trainee participation in global health initiatives and in the partnerships established by CICH. Gathers information and prepares donor reports, letters for VISA purposes and ensures licensing and insurance forms are complete.
- Liaises with internal stakeholders to implement communication plans and activities, and with external stakeholders to respond to requests for information, collaborate on joint initiatives and events, and to coordinate communication activities. Ensures communications activities are carried out in compliance with PHSA policy.
- Writes, edits, and coordinates production of a variety of content and material for internal and external publications, digital and social media channels. Coordinates and produces content for the CICH website and program reports.
- Plans, organizes and coordinates special events including working group meetings, special forums receptions and other events as required.
- Coordinates and delivers special projects as assigned and performs other duties as required, including CICH administrative needs such as meeting coordination and scheduling.

**Qualifications**:
A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree in a health discipline or health care administration or a related field with preference given to educational background related to International or Global Health, plus 4 years recent related experience. Additional education, training and/or experience in communications, marketing, journalism, project management or a related discipline an asset. Overseas, global health experience considered an asset (preferably in developing country setting).
