**LOCATION**: BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS (BC-CfE), Vancouver, BC (inside St. Paul’s hospital) & Hope to Health Research & Innovation Centre (625 Powell Street, Vancouver, BC).

**ORGANIZATION**:
The BC-CfE is a world-renowned research and healthcare centre with innovative, low barrier approach to healthcare delivery in clinical practice and an integrated group of research concentrations in Laboratory Sciences, Clinical Trials, Population Health and Epidemiology, Health Economics and Professional Education Programs. A multidisciplinary team of clinicians including Physicians, Nurses, Social Workers and Peers and researchers including Health Economists, Epidemiologists, Clinical Researchers, Statisticians, Programmers, and Data Analysts work collaboratively to improve the health of British Columbians with HIV and syndemic conditions and communities facing socio-economic barriers in accessing healthcare.

**POSITION**:Reporting to the Director, Clinical Education and Training, the Educational Program Coordinator provides program and administrative support and oversees assigned programs. The position works closely with staff in the Hope to Health Research and Innovation Centre, and interacts with other BC-CfE research and training staff as well as external stakeholders including UBC, VCHA, and BCCDC.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provides support to and coordinates the clinical education program for staff of the Hope to Health Research and Innovation Centre and BC-CfE.
- Works with the Clinical Educator in the scheduling and support of all clinical education events which includes communicating with speakers, event set-up (hybrid, virtual, and in-person), and all related logistics.
- Applies for accreditation through the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) for various education and training programs, and maintains and updates programs as necessary to meet the CFPC’s requirements
- Collects and keeps updated records and databases related to educational program monitoring and evaluation, including program attendance, evaluation, and feedback.
- Produces a variety of documents including reports, correspondence, presentation materials, spreadsheets, and memos by using various word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software packages, including creation of files, tables and spreadsheets. Photocopies and distributes documentation such as correspondence and reports as required.
- Creates and processes slides and posters for conference presentations.
- Provides operational, administrative, and program support to the Director, Clinical Education and Training, and Clinical Educator.
- Participates in staff meetings, special projects, and other activities as required.
- Coordinates and provides event support for various rounds including Journal Clubs, Webinar Learning Series, and other lectures/educational events. These events may be in-person or virtual using software such as Zoom or GoToWebinar.
- Collaborates with Communications and IT teams to ensure web content is up-to-date.
- Conducts article searches throughout the Health Sciences Libraries.
- Performs other duties as required.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in an education-related field, including Health or Social Sciences, Public Health, or Public Policy. Asset: education is supplemented by three (3) to five (5) years of recent related experience in administrative/program coordination. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge and/or experience working in addiction, public health, health services, HIV, and viral hepatitis is an asset.
- Experience in coordinating projects and/or grant based programs is an asset.
- Experience in preparing documents, reports, and communications materials.
- Knowledge or experience in medical education is an asset.
- Familiarity utilizing virtual meeting/conferencing software such as Zoom or GoToWebinar, and comfort in troubleshooting time sensitive issues in presentation setting.

**Nice to have**:

- Familiarity with social determinants of health, inner city, and HIV-related health issues and/or the delivery of health care.
- Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, desktop publishing, and database software skills. Experience using Apple computers is considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide effective administrative support at the senior management level, including tact and diplomacy, in dealing with a variety of work situations, hospital staff, board members, government representatives, community agency personnel, and the general public.
- Demonstrated communication skills to respond effectively to inquiries, both verbally and in writing, flexibility to meet and adapt
