**Work Schedule**: Four 10-hour days. Monday to Thursday & Tuesday to Friday

**Position Overview**

First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, is looking for eager apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanics / Technicians who are ready to build a long-term career working on all OEM Heavy Duty Trucks, Trailers, and Motorhomes. We are looking to IMMEDIATELY hire Mechanics / Technicians to support the service, maintenance and repair of heavy trucks, trailers, and motorhomes. Some duties / requirements are ( but not limited to):

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain class 6,7 and 8 vehicles and trailers.
- Work with Journeyman technicians on a variety of different repair and inspection duties.
- Maintain efficient and accurate workmanship in a safe and professional environment.
- Test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

**Qualifications**
- Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
- Current and Valid 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th level apprentice.
- High School Automotive and/or farm experience is an asset.
- Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided).
- Initiative-taker able to work in a fast-paced, detailed, and process-driven environment.
- Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
- Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided).
- Class 5 driver's license.
- Class 1, Class 3, and MVI Certifications are a bonus.
