
Heavy Duty Crane Technician

The Technician to perform maintenance and repairs of cranes and other heavy equipment with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner.
**Essential Functions**:
- Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on a variety of company owned and customer’s equipment while using a high degree of independent judgment.
- Supplying service documentation
- Training of lower-level technicians
- Demonstrating equipment for customer use.
- Use schematics and diagrams to supply repairs on cranes
- Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
- Communicate consistently on all activities to key individuals (internal & external).
- Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Companywide policies to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to liability.
- Participates as needed in special projects or work as assigned
- Maintain and repair mobile Rough Terrain, All Terrain, and Crawler Cranes.
- Supply certified crane inspections
**Experience/Training/Education**:
- Red Seal Endorsed Heavy Duty Journeyman or a Level 3 or above registered apprentice with a High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 +years of experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting preferable cranes or telescopic lifting equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:
Highly developed mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background, particularly with an emphasis on cranes, extensive knowledge of crane equipment, an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams on mobile cranes, own the tools applicable to position, and show strong teamwork, verbal, and written skills. Factory training certifications a plus but not needed. We offer factory training to increase your knowledge.
**Physical and Environmental Elements**:
- This is a field service classification and employees work in a factory environment or in a field with exposure to noise, machinery, and weather.
- May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds and have exposure to working at heights.
- Potential for travel in other locations around the country.
- The ability to work overtime is necessary.
