We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Head Chef to join our team in 7615 Coal Harbour.

This position will contribute to the success of the store by demonstrating our company mission of Always Customer First and embodying our core values of Service, People, Innovation, Fun, and Integrity.

We are hiring a Head Chef to work at our Coal Harbour Urban Fare location in Vancouver, BC.

Must have open availability and be available to work 40 hours per week

You will be responsible for:

- Leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members; fostering a positive team environment that is focused on always customer first service
- Training, educating and supervising team members according to established, standard procedures to develop a skilled and motivated culinary team
- Providing visible “on the floor” leadership during peak shift times; managing time to ensure availability during peak service times
- Ensuring team members follow standard recipes, with a focus on attaining high standards of taste and presentation
- Holding the department(s) accountable for operational standards and compliance (e.g., maintaining food safety logs and records, food waste, cleanliness, receiving, shrink, stocktaking, scheduling, ordering, health and safety)
- Managing inventory and participating in monthly stocktaking Maintain strong lines of communication amongst the kitchen team members and facilitate the delivery of key messages
- Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business
- Assisting in the development of new products and driving a culture of continuous improvement

**Qualifications**:

- Food Safe Certification
- Red Seal Certification is considered an asset
- Strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude
- Passion for great food and outstanding service
- Five or more years leadership experience is considered an asset
