As Research and Data Officer, Office of Assessment and Evaluation, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the coordination, implementation, tracking and monitoring of research/scholarly activities undertaken within the MD Program, and in collaboration with project partners in affiliated organizations. Your excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize competing demands will be integral when fostering positive relationships with the stakeholders involved in research/scholarly activities. Your demonstrated ability to conduct literature reviews, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and your ability to summarize and format research results to be presentable and easily comprehensible will play a critical role for the ongoing success and improvement of program evaluation in the MD Program. Assessment and evaluation experience in a medical education capacity is considered an asset.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Designing, pre-testing and formatting surveys, interviews and other research data collection tools
- Conducting detailed data analysis to inform management decision making
- Conceptualizing and overseeing the format, set-up and the facilitating of focus groups
- Conducting literature reviews and writing research summaries for reporting purposes
- Analyzing and synthesizing technical, qualitative and contextual research data
- Tracking and collecting information on project progress, including scheduling day-to-day project activities, maintaining and updating project records, and fostering relationships with project partners
- Drafting documents for knowledge translation purposes
- Keeping well-informed on current technologies, best practices and industry standards

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree (with emphasis on the areas of advanced statistics, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, program evaluation) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience that includes conducting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and research and making recommendations on research project design.
- Demonstrated experience conducting literature reviews, writing research summaries, and drafting knowledge translation documents
- Proficiency in tracking and documenting on project progress and working closely with project partners
- Understanding of trending and current technologies to support best practices and industry standards (in the areas of advanced statistics, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, study design, program evaluation, and data reporting)
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communications skills (oral and written) with an ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands
- Ability to foster positive relationships with various group
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
