**About us**:
Dr. Linda Trinh leads The Exercise Oncology Lab in the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education. The Exercise Oncology Lab is funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) and is dedicated exclusively to developing, assessing, and evaluating behaviour change interventions in cancer survivors. The funding from CFI (Canada Foundation for Innovation) and its partner, the ORF (Ontario Research Fund), is a major contribution to my research program, and represents one of the most nationally significant investments in research on exercise and cancer survivorship.

**Your opportunity**:
The Research Officer is part of a team working at the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education and specifically in the Exercise Oncology Lab (Principal Investigator: Dr. Linda Trinh). The Research Officer supports various research and administrative aspects of several research projects, with a general focus on behaviour change and cancer survivorship

The Research Officer will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including day-to-day activities of recruitment, data collection and management, screening, randomization, and compiling and distribution of feedback across the studies, coding quantitative research data, and generating study reports.

The Research Officer will regularly interact with staff, investigators, external researchers, faculty, and current or potential research participants to conduct and record research activities, as well as coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assessing needs and contributing to the planning of research goals
- Developing task schedules in concert with project schedules
- Scheduling day-to-day project activities
- Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials,action and follow-up items
- Resolving issues in the course of test administration and escalating problems as required
- Overseeing the data collection and analysis processes
- Drafting and submitting documented procedures to the Research Ethics Board (REB) for approval
- Delivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities and/or initiatives

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Master's Degree in Exercise Sciences or Kinesiology with a specialization in exercise oncology
- At least 4 years of experience coordinating and managing exercise oncology-related trials
- Experience working with cancer survivors and/or clinical populations is highly preferable
- Experience with the delivery of randomized controlled trials in exercise oncology
- Experience with device-measured physical activity and sedentary behaviour (e.g., accelerometers, Fitbits, inclinometers)
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access), online survey software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, leadership, time management, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques and software
- Ability to work independently, and also collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Proven ability to deal with people in a tactful and effective manner, ability to exhibit sound judgment in decision making, ability to work independently and in ateam
- Problem solve project-related issues as they arise
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Must be able to work well under pressure, especially during peak study periods
