Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), the Manager of Mergers and Acquisitions supports our company’s growth by contributing to our strategic acquisition efforts through sourcing, evaluating, and execution when opportunities come to fruition.

**Job Duties**:

- Identify, research, and evaluate potential acquisition targets and assist in managing the M&A pipeline
- Analyze financial statements and operational metrics
- Develop financial models to assist in valuing potential targets, identifying synergies and projecting post-close performance
- Assist in preparing acquisition reporting and strategic growth planning communication with leadership and board members
- Coordinate, plan and perform various due diligence procedures of potential targets
- Oversee data rooms
- Coordinate with outside legal, financial, environmental, insurance, tax and operational consultants and advisors
- Review asset and share purchase agreements, non-compete agreements, employment agreements and other legal documentation as required
- Support contract negotiations
- Facilitate integration process with team members throughout the organization
- Track post-close performance and communicate results with management and board
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities
- Other duties as assigned from time to time

**Knowledge, Experience and Skill**:

- Undergraduate degree, ideally in Business, Finance or Accounting
- CPA designation
- Basic knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax system
- Three to five years of experience in accounting, corporate development, private equity, investment banking or management consulting with previous M & A experience as a must
- Experience analyzing company financial statements and building financial models
- Strong organization skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to effectively work with all levels of staff from clerical to C - Suite
- Ability to manage time efficiently while managing multiple tasks
- High attention to detail
- Ambitious nature with a high sense of integrity
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality
