Building a community of hope since 1987, we would like to invite you to join our journey. Siloam Mission is currently seeking for a fulltime permanent Drop-In Manager.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Drop-In Centre, making sure the activities available support personal wellbeing and recovery. The Manager provides leadership, supervision and training to the staff. In managing the Drop-In, this position ensures that staff use a trauma informed and culturally safe practices when working with community.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Drop-In Management
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, systems and procedures that are strength based and empowering;
- Maintain Drop-In operations procedures, ensuring all documents are up dated as necessary and reviewed by the team;
- Involve community members in decisions related to how the Drop-In operates;
- Oversee the execution of the Intake process and implementation of a Housing-Focused approach;
- Oversee the execution of Restorative Practices in the Drop-In;
- Work, as a part of the Drop-In Management team to accomplish performance reviews and provide regular supervisions;
- Mediate conflict between staff or staff/community member as needed or upon request;
- Deal with staff and community member concerns that arise on-site in a timely and appropriate manner;
- Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of community member’s, staff and Siloam Mission at all times;
- Provide written records of all issues that pertain to staff matters and discuss with the Director of Services, provide a copy of record to Human Resources;
- Oversee the coordination of Security, and security guards on site;
- Ensure Siloam Mission’s crisis response plan is updated when necessary and that all staff are following the crisis response plan;
- Act as an ambassador for Siloam Mission and participate in meetings and events as appropriate;
- Establish effective communication with all departments;
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with other departments, and external partners;
Budget Management & Reporting
- Generate monthly statistics and reports on the status of services and programs;
- Effectively manage the budget of the department and assist in the annual budget process;
Staff Management & Development
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process of staff and work with the Director and Human Resources in hiring and selection;
- Train, supervise and support staff in order to build a strong team;
- Assess staff to develop their skills and abilities by providing opportunities for leadership/mentoring roles in services and programs;
- Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals;
- Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback;
- Facilitate regular staff meetings and provide opportunities for interaction with staff;
Volunteer Management & Training
- Cooperate with Volunteer Department to recruit and select volunteers to be involved in Drop-In Centre activities;
- Provide appropriate training, supervision, and support for volunteers.
- Develop process to integrate volunteers into responsible roles in programs and services whenever possible;
Health & Safety
- Assist staff in making decisions pertaining to safety measures in the Drop-In;
- Create opportunities through services and programs for the promotion of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health;
- Support and execute Health & Safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines;
- Support and enforce policies to establish a culture of Health & Safety;
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures;
- Monitor the condition of the Drop-In and be aware of any damage to facilities or property owned, request repairs, and report issues directly to management;
- Ensures that staff report accidents or incidents to WCB (Workers Compensation Board) and assist in compensation claims, if needed;

Administrative
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate Director;
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma specializing in Social Work or equivalent work experience;
- Minimum 5-year experience in a non
- profit sector. At least 3 years in managerial role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Cultural Awareness, Anti-Oppressive Practice, NVCI, ASIST, First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Trauma Informed best practices;
- Experience in working with HIFIS4, Housing Plus databases is an asset;
