**Are you looking for a role that will challenge you?** If you answered yes, then this may be the job for you** The Project Coordinator, is accountable for the delivery of remediation and restoration projects, often involving substantial safety and regulatory requirements with many internal and external interactions, contracts requiring substantial negotiation of terms and conditions and involving a sizable financial commitment (more than $5 million).

The PHAI is a federal initiative to clean-up low-level radioactive waste in Port Hope and Clarington. The project involves remediating contaminated sites and consolidating the wastes in an engineered mound in the community. The PHAI Project has a very high public profile and is a top priority for the Government of Canada and the Port Hope area communities.

**What will you be doing **
- Supervising the work of contractors, consultant engineers, and vendors in field work and construction oversight.
- Planning, organizing and controlling the integration of all work areas and disciplines within the project effectively.
- Implementing project management tools, methods, and best practices to plan and contribute to executing projects.
- Reviewing and providing input to designs and work plans to incorporate safety, health, and the environment.
- Managing change in scope, schedule, costs, and impact to stakeholders against the project baseline.
- Identify project risks and barriers and the development of mitigation strategies.
- Report and interface with management regarding project status updates and expectations.
- Execute the contract and procurement strategy.
- Contributes to a team of CNL staff, consultants, and contractors in remediation of the LLRW on the site(s)
- Effectively communicate across multiple departments and levels within CNL to coordinate tasks.
- Chairs effective meetings and delivers informative to diverse groups.
- Communicates with suppliers and contractors to ensure activities and deliverables meet project expectations.

**What we are looking for**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years progressively responsible project experience, preferably related to large construction and/or remediation projects.
- Post-secondary diploma with 4+ years progressively responsible project experience, preferably related to large construction and/or remediation projects.
- 7+ years with no formal post-secondary progressively responsible project experience, preferably related to large construction and/or remediation projects.

**Security Requirements**:
Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom.

**Location**:
CNL’s Historic Waste Program Management Office is in the beautiful and historic community of Port Hope, Ontario. Roughly 100 km East of Toronto, still close enough to the “Big City” without all the hassle of being in the “Big City”. As a leader in environmental remediation at nuclear and radiologically contaminated sites, CNL is implementing the Port Hope Area Initiative on behalf of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited. The cleanup of historic Low-Level Radioactive Waste by CNL in the communities of Port Hope and Port Granby in Ontario is a demonstration of Canada’s commitment to the safe, long-term storage and management of nuclear waste.
