**Introduction**:
Join our dynamic microbiology laboratory team at PBR Laboratories Inc., where we strive to advance scientific understanding and ensure the highest quality in our testing processes. We are currently seeking a dedicated Research and Quality Assurance Associate to focus primarily on quality assurance within our research projects and operational frameworks.

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the design and execution of microbiological experiments and research.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret research data.
- Maintain strict compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Document all research activities and quality assurance measures accurately.
- Train and supervise junior lab staff in proper research and compliance practices.
- Continuously update laboratory procedures based on research findings and regulatory changes.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss research progress and compliance issues.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and documentation to comply with ISO 17025 and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of laboratory processes to ensure compliance with established quality systems and regulatory requirements.
- Manage CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) systems and lead root cause analysis to address non-conformities in laboratory operations.
- Validate and oversee the calibration of laboratory equipment and ensure proper maintenance schedules are followed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, quality control standards, and compliance regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality assurance activities, findings, and improvements.
- Coordinate with external quality auditors and manage regulatory inspections.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory setting.
- Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and quality assurance frameworks.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
