Associate, Change Management & Communications

**What is the opportunity?**

RBC Capital Markets is undertaking a green field project to build a new capability to serve corporate clients. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the change initiatives required as part of the build out by supporting the design of key training, change processes and communication channels for the group.

Designing great experiences to spur change, innovation and transformation is at the core of our work. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in RBC Capital Markets to help us deliver a brand new program and you will have a real impact in a diverse range of outcomes.

**What will you do?**

The tools and processes that have the best intentions will still fail if the end users don’t understand the context around them and can’t engage with them intuitively. The Associate, Change Management & Communications will be leading an effort to design effective change tools and delivery that will help organically nudge users toward desired outcomes using interactive tools, training and communication channels. The core deliveries of the role will include:

- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to project objectives and developing deliverables with oversight from teammates and project lead.
- Develop and facilitate collaborative engagements with stakeholders in a finance setting (e.g., interviews, co-creation, or working sessions), synthesize findings to uncover unmet needs, and use insights to inform design decisions.
- Cultivate relationships with various RBC teams in order to understand their needs and issues to create change management plans and processes that will deliver maximum impact.
- Contribute to internal and external communities through various mediums, including video, digital and print.

**What will you do?**
- Improve program delivery capability through a user first and behavioural science approach combined with your unique communications and change expertise.
- Tell compelling stories through persuasive verbal communication, excellent visuals, or effective prototypes to gather end-user feedback.
- A creative with experience building powerful video, digital and print outputs, exceptional MS PowerPoint decks and proven ability to pick up new process mapping and project management tools on the fly.

**What do you need to succeed?**
**Must-have**
- 3+ years of corporate and change management communications experience with at least 2 years’ experience in helping deliver change in large organizations
- Experience with storytelling through excellent writing and visualization skills, translating complex knowledge into insightful pieces that resonate with end-users at various levels.
- Experience with the pressure of deadlines and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Experience in marketing, consulting, or agency context with a focus on Finance strategy and/or digital production, or in stakeholder engagement in large organization communication, e.g., facilitating or coordinating senior leadership teams or co-creation sessions.
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in related field (e.g., Visualization/Communications, or other combination of arts, business and sciences), plus 1-2 years of experience in a fast paced, large organization doing; work in marketing may also be considered.
