**NATURE OF WORK**

Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Finance the position of Administrative Officer consists of carry out management functions required to administrate the accounts payable processes for the Financial Services.

The position of Administrative Officer of Finance will support the financial administration of student assistance programs, primarily the financial reporting and payment responsibilities relating to the In
- Community Adult and Higher Learning Student Assistance programs. This position will also assist in the financial administrative responsibilities relating to the Post Secondary program, including the eventual transfer of the financial administration from Montreal to the head office in Mistissini. The responsibilities in regard to these programs will include various aspects of financial management, especially, among others, budgetary and financial forecasts and controls, and internal audit and compliance to all Federal and Provincial reporting obligations. The Administrative Officer of Finance reports directly to the Coordinator of Finance.

**CHARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS**

More specifically, this position includes the following responsibilities:
Assists with the preparation of financial statements;
Provides guidance and general support to departments and schools related to accounts payable processes;
Oversees the payment and reporting responsibilities, in collaboration with Adult Education and the Cree Teacher Training directorates;
Maintains appropriate systems of accountability to meet the financial reporting obligations;
Assists the Coordinator of Finance in the oversight responsibilities relating to the Financial Services;
Assist in the development of budgets relating to the various student assistance programs;
Executes various technical analysis and reports relating to the programs being administered at the request of the Coordinator of Finance;
Participates in the development, review, and evaluation of new and existing policies for various student assistance programs;
All other related duties and responsibilities assigned to this position by the Coordinator of Finance.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

A college diploma with an appropriate option in finance and/or accounting or relevant working experience will be considered;
Fluent in at least two of the three official languages of the CSB (English, French, Cree).

**EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS & SALARY**

Regular Full-Time

35 hrs/week
