**Job description**

The role of the Charity Coordinator in Charitable Gaming locations is one of the most important and significant assets of the Revitalization of Charitable Bingo model. This model is referred to as ‘cGaming’.

The Charity Coordinator will have a significant impact on the local member charities and their fundraising opportunities through a local partnership with Delta Bingo and Gaming Sudbury. Strong administrative and communication skills are required to foster positive relationships with the local charities and their cGaming charity association, gaming centre management and staff, and licencing staff at the City of Greater Sudbury.

The Charity Coordinator will have a significant role in creating awareness of the impact charitable gaming funds provide in the community. They must possess the experience, knowledge, and skill set in order to fulfill the duties and must reside within the community of Greater Sudbury to support the initiative.

The Charity Coordinator will be directly accountable to OCGA but will work collaboratively with the local gaming centre charity association, their Board, and their member charities.

**ROLES**

Provincial Policies and Standards Compliance
- Ensuring that charities are complying with Policies and Standards for Charities
- Developing and implementing a charity schedule in consultation with the CGCA Board and the municipality
- Preparing monthly compliance reports to the municipality
- Providing ongoing support to charities as needed
- Preparing compliance-related and information reports
- Carrying out routine financial activities

Community Awareness
- Develop, plan and executing ongoing initiatives that will ensure a high visibility of the charitable organizations with well-defined charity messaging in the Charitable Gaming Centre and how the funds are used in the community
- Implementing the strategies and materials as directed by OCGA to heighten awareness in communities
- Plan, develop, and execute outreach and promotion initiatives to ensure public awareness in their local community.
- Supporting groups with Charity Awareness and Engagement requirements
- Attending charity meetings and events and participating in media engagements
- Educating local community leaders on the contributions of the cGaming partnership to the community.

Stakeholder Liaison/Support to the Board, Municipality and OCGA
- Liaison between the local association, the municipality, the individual member charities and non-profits, and the Charitable Gaming Centre Service Provider, including:

- Assisting with problem resolution as required
- Ensuring timely communication with the charities, the municipality, and local association board
- Building positive relationships with the charities and non-profits
- Provide information and reports to the CGCA Board as required and ensure that the Board is up to date on new developments, issues and concerns
- Ensure compliance with Ontario Lottery and Gaming contractual obligations and policies and standards, providing input as requested, exchanging information, and sharing lessons learned and best practices
- Participate in provincial conferences and meetings (some occasional travel within Ontario)

Recommended Skills and Experience
- Community outreach, and marketing and promotional experience
- Experience working with volunteer organizations and Boards
- Comfortable with media and public relations
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision within an overall direction
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in public speaking
- Strong planning and organization skills
- Problem solving and negotiation skills
- Competent computer and software skills including website/social media management
