**Position Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with specialized expertise in Power BI reporting to join our team. This role will be responsible for creating comprehensive Power BI reports from scratch, covering monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts,
**Key Responsibilities**
**Power BI Report Development**: Lead the creation of Power BI reports from scratch, encompassing monthly financial reports, budget vs. actual analysis, forecasting models, and ad hoc reports. Design visually appealing and interactive dashboards that provide actionable
insights into financial performance and trends.
**Data Collection and Preparation**: Gather and prepare financial data
from various sources, including ERP systems, spreadsheets, and databases. Cleanse, transform, and model the data to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting. Develop robust data models and relationships to support dynamic reporting requirements.
**Monthly Reporting**: Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to stakeholders, including directors and senior management. Analyze key performance metrics, variances, and trends to provide insights into business performance. Present findings during meetings with directors to discuss budget performance and forecast accuracy.
**Budgeting and Forecasting**: Collaborate with department heads and business unit leaders to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Utilize Power BI to create budget vs. actual reports and variance analyses. Explain variances and provide recommendations for
corrective actions to ensure budget compliance.
**Ad Hoc Analysis**: Respond to ad hoc analysis requests from management and other stakeholders. Quickly gather and analyze relevant data using Power BI to provide timely insights and recommendations. Prepare executive summaries and presentations to
communicate findings effectively.
**Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency. Leverage Power BI capabilities to automate repetitive tasks, enhance data visualization, and optimize report performance. Implement best practices for report design and data governance.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate with finance teams,business leaders, and other stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights. Facilitate meetings with directors to review financial performance, discuss forecasts, and
address any concerns or questions.
**Qualification**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and Power BI
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop, including data modeling,
DAX calculations, and report design.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting processes, and
forecasting methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to
interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to
convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast
- paced environment.
- Prior experience in creating Power BI reports for financial analysis and
reporting is highly desirable.
