**Department Overview**

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Wealth Product Strategy & Insights, the Manager will be responsible for executing the implementation and maintenance of standards, procedures, and end-to-end controls that govern new & existing product strategy (including securities assessment, approval, monitoring).
- Manage and execute the strategic decision-making framework by which new security types are onboarded and existing product offerings are updated
- Identify the fit, propose necessary restrictions, construct and integrate end-to-end distribution controls for securities
- Develop and execute strategies for continuous improvement of security risk rating methodologies and asset classification standards; administer related testing and escalation process
- Construct and integrate of end-to-end investments distribution controls
- Evolve the significant/material change monitoring and advisor notification processes
- Take a lead role in creating and managing projects; engage with various partners across and outside the firm to research, build and implement solutions for shelf management and line of business needs where required
- Create and paper standards, procedures, and controls to guide the shelf management process
- Draft business requirements documents to automate processes and review them with partners
- Participate in systems testing in various stages of projects development (SIT, PAT, UAT) to ensure that the specified requirements are met; oversee data review and analysis conducted by Analysts for issues and inconsistencies and make recommendations for solutions/fixes
- Support lines of business by designing and proposing exception processes to address unique client/advisor circumstances
- Understand regulatory frameworks impacting the business and be able to assess the regulatory landscape guiding the securities distribution process for changes
- Keep current with the industry regulatory requirements and be able to make judgements and propose changes to processes when necessary
- Proactively search for ways to improve processes and uncover gaps to ensure that stakeholders receive the most optimal level of service and regulatory obligations are met
- Socialize proposals for changes to existing processes or creating new ones and solicit support from the various internal stakeholders
- Participate in the Investment Risk Committee sub-committee meetings to present/substantiate proposals for approval of new/changes to existing standards, procedures, controls; or to obtain information about current business and regulatory developments
- Document decisioning, caveats and rationale for approved changes to standards, procedures, and controls that govern the shelf management process
- Other ad hoc activities as required based on the business needs
- Able to effectively manage one's time and prioritize multiple, overlapping assignments
- Passionate about creating efficiencies, improving processes and constantly evolving skillsets
- Team player who supports TD's culture by living the shared commitments

**Job Requirements**
- Undergraduate or advanced business degree (e.g., BComm, BBA, MBA, etc.)
- CFA, CAIA, CPA or other relevant investment-related designation(s) would be considered an asset
- 5+ years of experience working with a financial institution is strongly encouraged
- Thorough understanding of the front office and national office operations, their respective responsibilities, and needs
- Good understanding of a wide range of securities (financial instruments) distributed through the Wealth lines of business
- Project management experience would be considered an asset
- Experience evaluating and reporting on internal control processes, procedures and documentation would be considered an asset
- Ability to extract, analyze and manipulate large sets of data would be considered an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
