**About this Opportunity**

**In this role, you will**:

- Provide support to Alberta’s Provincial and Area Councils with the following:
Council Meetings:

- Fulfill logístical needs required for the successful implementation of the Council meeting. (currently virtual meetings only, once allowed would include meals, accommodation, travel)
- Distribute documents to appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure that all documents are maintained in a confidential manner as per organizational privacy conditions.

Records Management:

- Oversee the records management of all Provincial/Area documents as per the directions of the Provincial Operations Team Lead.

Project Support:

- Provide specific supports to ongoing provincial/area projects, as assigned by the Team Lead in consultation with the Provincial Operations Team Lead.
- Oversee financial tasks as assigned, including but not limited to preparing deposits in accordance with the Nationwide financial management program. This will include assigning GL codes to all Provincial and Area invoices, obtaining approval and processing invoices for payment.
- Submit insurance certificate requests as required for provincial/area activities.
- When requested work in partnership with the Provincial Cookie Adviser to secure cookie receivers for each campaign & assign Units to the appropriate receiver.
- Be conversant on legislation that applies to function oversight in order to ensure legislative compliance.
- As a member of the nationwide staff team you will be expected to participate in role model & promote of a positive work environment that is inclusive for all team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience in, and talent for, administrative activities (e.g., detail-oriented, organized, clear communicator, etc.)
- Proficient with Office 365 and MS products, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent customer service skills that promote a positive relationship all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience working under pressure with multiple tight deadlines.
- Outstanding initiative, flexibility and time management skills.
- Collaboration skills with a knack for communicating clearly and diplomatically.
- Ability to solve problems and manage details independently.
- A proven track record of being an engaged, positive member of a team, demonstrating openness for discussion and learning.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment.

**Assets**
- Knowledge of/experience with Guiding and GGC operations within an assigned catchment zone is considered a major asset.
- Passion for issues relating to girls and young women.
- Experience working with volunteers.

**Starting salary**: $42,739

*Salary based location - Province of Alberta

- 8 hour shift
