**Summer Student opportunities begin in May 2025 and end in August 2025.**

To be eligible for the SECURE Summer Student Program, you must meet the following requirements:

- Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid work permit.
- If you are selected for a role considered safety-sensitive, you will be required to successfully complete a Medical and/or Alcohol and drug test.

**Students are also required to submit a cover letter and recent transcripts. The cover letter will address the following questions**:

- _How does this position fit in with your current or long-term career goals?_

As our Summer Student - People and Culture you will be responsible for assisting with key HR functions, contributing to meaningful projects that align with our team’s goals. This position supports the organization’s strategic objectives by aligning HR initiatives with business needs, ensuring long-term success and sustainability.

This role is based out of the Calgary Brookfield office on a full-time, Monday to Friday schedule.

**A Day in The Life**

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
General HR Support:

- Assist the HR Coordinator with employee life cycle documentation to ensure accurate submissions and records.
- Support the onboarding process, including collecting required paperwork and facilitating orientation programs.
- Organize and book Driver Check and random Drug & Alcohol testing as needed.
- Organize and schedule HR-related events and meetings.

Talent Acquisition Support:

- Draft and post job ads in collaboration with hiring managers on internal and external platforms.

Onboarding & Data Management:

- Prepare onboarding materials, including documentation and resources for new hires.
- Support the collection and completion of exit interview surveys to ensure accurate data collection.

Internal Communication:
**Skills, Experience, & Qualifications**
- Actively enrolled in a post-secondary program, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
