Referral Coordinator

Job Overview:
**Duties**:
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers
- Manage referral documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding referral status
- Utilize medical terminology accurately in referral processes
- Collaborate with administrative staff to schedule appointments and follow-ups
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
**Experience**:
- Experience working in a medical or dental office setting
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, such as Epic or Dentrix
- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties is a plus
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of phone systems and office procedures
