We are looking for a finance professional with an interest in marketing to elevate our finance team among the best in the retail and consumer goods sector. Your mandate will be to contribute to the development of the finance marketing practice and support the financial management of the marketing organization. You will partner with marketing leaders to manage and optimize their operating budgets and strategic initiatives.
This role, based at our Montreal office, will report directly to the Director Finance - Marketing and Omnichannel experience.
**YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO**:
Be the financial business partner and controller for the global marketing team.
Develop and implement tools and processes to improve the financial operations of different marketing team such as the production studio, shows and events, brand strategy and go-to-market, etc.
Support teams to develop their annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, set financial goals, identify risk and opportunities, and provide regular reporting and variance analysis to track progress against strategic initiatives.
Support the development, implementation and monitoring of business case and other investments projects.
Partner with the marketing leadership team to understand the dynamics of their strategies and provide them accurate and insightful financial analysis.
Elevate the knowledge of the Corporate and Regional finance team by presenting insightful metrics and analyses on major marketing trends, challenges and opportunities, along with actionable recommendations to improve customer acquisition and retention.
Partner with Marketing data science and analytics to develop a methodology to forecast return on investment of our marketing efforts and educate the organization about it.
THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a great interest in marketing.
More than 7 years of financial management experience working with senior business and finance leaders in a large multinational company, investment banking, big 4 audit or as a consultant.
A black-belt in Excel financial modelling and data manipulation.
A self-starter, self-motivated and enthusiastic leader with good business sense.
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
An inquisitive mindset with high analytical skills.
A passion for metrics and figures with attention to detail.
