**Our Copywriter **works directly with our Client-Facing Team to create written content for our clients. From social media captions to flyers, scripts, brand books, websites and more, you are involved at every level of our process. You will be responsible for researching and understanding the industries we work with. You will be part of the creative process when it comes to developing campaign concepts and ideas for clients.

Marketing is a fast paced environment and we work with a multitude of clients across the energy sector, so we’re looking for writers with versatility and the ability to tap into a company’s voice fairly easily. We’re looking for someone who is on top of trends, who challenges themselves to learn and is seeking focused personal development and growth.

**WHAT YOU DO**
- Understand and capture multiple brand voices
- Conduct market research to understand target audience and develop effective messaging strategies
- Optimize copy for search engine optimization (SEO) to improve organic rankings and drive traffic to the website
- Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Contribute to strategy and campaign development with the team
- Collaborate and brainstorm with the team on creative ideas and brand voice
- Work independently, managing multiple tight deadlines simultaneously
- Join client calls to understand project requirements
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and copywriting
- Use generative AI to kick-start and improve your work
- Participate in improving processes with your manager

**WHAT YOU NEED**
- An obsession for research, learning, change and growth
- A brainstorming brain - you’re an ideas person through and through who loves to develop concepts alone and with a team
- Experience using Generative AI platforms like ChatGPT and MidJourney to generate ideas and improve concepts
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent research skills to gather information on various topics
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Minimum 2 years experience writing copy in a marketing context (samples required)
- Must be fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Comfortable working in CST time zone

**WHAT’S A BONUS**
- Experience/knowledge of the energy sector, particularly oil and gas.
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite or other design software
- Familiarity with SEO techniques and keyword research

**TO APPLY**

**ABOUT THIS POSITION**
This is a part-time, contract position. You will have hours assigned to work Monday through Friday. Applicants must be in Montreal, Quebec. The starting rate is CAD $20 hourly. A professional level of English is a requirement for this role.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
