As an Account Executive at Aptum, your primary responsibility will be to achieve sales and revenue targets for industry verticals and market segments in your assigned territory. To achieve this, you will need to develop and acquire named enterprise and mid-market clients, while also having a clear understanding of specific corporate objectives, philosophy, and business drivers. With this knowledge, you will execute a strategic business plan to deliver effective solutions and drive revenue growth.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Proactively develop a territory by prospecting and identifying potential clients, rather than relying on inbound leads.
- Sell Cloud Solutions, Managed Services, and Managed Hosting, with a focus on MS Azure, AWS, and VMware platforms as well as design, build and operate DevOps platforms and hybrid clouds.
- Identify and contact decision makers through cold calls, research, and networking with existing and new clients in your targeted industry.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of target customers, existing competitors in the marketplace, and industry trends that may impact a buying decision.
- Plan strategically, "think outside the box," and understand the big picture impact of decisions and actions.
- Accurately forecast anticipated monthly and quarterly revenue.
- Work collaboratively with Lead Development and Marketing teams to develop a territory engagement plan and maximize opportunities for sales activity.
- Retain knowledge of products and services to effectively sell the full portfolio of offerings and accurately communicate our value proposition and strategies.
- Achieve individual monthly, quarterly, and annual MRC revenue targets.
- Facilitate all aspects of the sales engagement process, acting as the primary contact to prospects and customers, inclusive of pre-sales, active sales, negotiation, close, and handoff for implementation.
- Lead the negotiation on commercial and legal discussions.
- Travel up to 10-30% may be required.
**Qualifications**:
- University degree or equivalent relevant working experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience incorporating value/service selling.
- Experience in strategic solution selling at the Executive level in a technology-related industry, such as IT services, hardware, software, etc.
- Ability to effectively coordinate and plan multiple projects, execute multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently, while working with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- 12+ years of IT sales experience
- French and English fluency
- Deeply empathic, adaptable and detail oriented.
