Front Desk: Day Shift
**Job description**
An exciting opportunity to join the front office team at one of the busiest and best-loved hotels in London Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Holiday Inn & Suites, London is recruiting for an organized, professional and outgoing individual to join us as a Front Desk Agent. Hotel Front Desk experience preferred. Some customer service experience required. Availability to work varied shifts is a must (Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, Nights, Weekends and Holidays).
**Job Duties**:
- Provide exceptional customer service by going the extra mile for our guests
- Answer main phone line and transfer calls to the appropriate department
- Typical concierge duties such as giving directions
- Check guests in/out of hotel
- Accurate billing of individual accounts
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests, with diligent follow up procedures
- Handle escalated guest issues
- Enroll new members into the IHG Reward club loyalty program
- Cash handling
- Other duties as assigned
**Job Requirements**:
- Front-facing customer service experience required
- Post secondary education in Tourism/Hospitality programs or equivalent hospitality experience an asset, but not required
- Excellent customer service skills and manner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy
- Able to work supervised or unsupervised
- Team player
- Knowledge of Opera PMS is required
- Availability to work varied shifts is a must (Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, Nights, Weekends and Holidays)

**POSITION: NIGHT AUDITOR**
**REPORTING TO: GUEST SERVICES MANAGER**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
To assist guests efficiently, courteously and professionally in all Front Desk related functions, and to maintain high standards of Service and Hospitality and to close out nightly the transactional requirements of the hotel.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
- The Night Auditor is directly responsible for the prompt and efficient balancing of the day’s transactions of the entire hotel.
- Check in and check out of guests and for meeting many other guest needs during their stay.
- Responsible for the smooth operation of the front office, and for insuring that all standard
- The person is responsible for all emergency situations during his work shift as well as taking care of all Front Desk Agent responsibilities occurring during the night shift.
- Perform all audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel and company, on a daily basis.
- Verify the status of all wake-up call requests and ensure they are properly handled.
- Balance all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift. Make deposits of cash.
- Ensuring guests are welcomed at check in and out of hotel, receiving payment, correcting account and reservation discrepancies, creating and canceling reservations and acting as a switchboard relief.
- Answers the phones and all other related phone duties in a polite and professional manner
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival in a courteous and friendly manner
- Answers all guest inquiries, complaints concerning the Hotel, its services, etc. in a polite and tactful manner
- Provide guest security through effective key control and confidentiality
- Ensure any guest messages or faxes are accurately logged and forwarded to the correct guest
- Ensure all non-stop checkouts are processed and filed for delivery upon request of guest
- Correct any inaccuracies and discrepancies on any guest accounts or profiles
- Handle all guest inquiries
- Updates Guest Accounts and presents checks to guests (exchanges currency, balances cash daily)
- Any other various request within the normal boundaries of the job requested my Management.
