Vancouver, Canada Chubb Full time

**WHO WE ARE**:
We are a unique global organization with a culture of individuals passionately committed to our respective crafts. With underwriting at our core, each of us contributes to providing the best insurance coverage and service to our clients. Working together, we are one Chubb. Our highly collaborative, inclusive nature helps us drive better business outcomes through diversity of background, experiences, insights and values. We approach problems with a can-do attitude and are committed to developing deep relationships — all while moving quickly to meet client needs.

**ABOUT THE CHUBB ASSOCIATE PROGRAM (CAP)**:
As part of the CAP program you will be part of an experience that supports the well-rounded development of critical business skills which in turn contributes to the future success of our company. Our two year program is designed to include hands-on business assignments in one of a variety of disciplines, interactive classroom instruction, team assignments and direct interaction with other early career professionals as well as experienced professionals and engaged leaders.

CAP is a truly blended curriculum that includes coordinated classroom training, webinar training, online self-study, on-the-job learning, group project work, mentoring and networking. As part of CAP, you will receive:

- Challenging assignments and the opportunity to contribute to the results of a team;
- Collaborative learning and group assignments with program members to help gain broader organizational understanding;
- Technical training to deepen your skill level within your chosen discipline and an understanding of our broader industry;
- Interpersonal effectiveness skill development to help you enhance communication and interactive skills;
- Executive engagement allowing program members the opportunity to network and learn from Chubb’s thought leaders;
- Peer mentoring support to help members navigate through professional situations in their early development;
- A pathway to leadership development opportunities and global assignments.

Appraisal (Risk Consulting) is a critical service that we provide for our personal lines’ insureds. Our Risk Consultants have a unique opportunity to conduct on-site inspections of some of the most architecturally significant residential properties in the country. During these visits you will be expected to identify and assess policyholder vulnerability to a variety of threats and then develop a customized plan for reducing the potential for loss. Additionally, you will be evaluating all structures on the property and establishing a pre-loss estimate for replicating their features.

**Additional Risk Consultant responsibilities include**:

- Conducting a specified number of inspections each month and routinely contributing to the profitability of the business;
- Balancing this productivity with adherence to time service and product quality measurements;
- Serve as a technical resource for our underwriting team on a range of personal security, loss prevention and collections management issues;
- This expertise is conveyed to our policyholders and agents on-site and through successful execution of our personalized risk engineering and consultative based reporting services after each visit;
- As a Risk Consultant you will be entrusted with immediate authority, work autonomously, and be directly accountable for your work product, all within the collaborative framework of a growing, stable and highly successful organization.
- Completion of a University degree or College diploma, with a focus in engineering, architectural technology, sciences, residential appraisal or equivalent, preferred;
- Prior work experience (including summer, part time or internships) and/or technical training in structural valuation, residential construction, residential appraising or property claims, would be considered an asset;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders;
- Technically adept/digitally savvy; an aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting technical information;
