**Duties**:
The Director General, Northern Contaminated Sites Program (DG, NCSP) is responsible for: creating the governance, policy and planning frameworks for and managing the implementation of Major Crown Projects for the remediation and reclamation of 165 contaminated sites in Nunavut, Yukon and NWT, including the Northern Abandoned Mines Reclamation Program
(NAMRP) eight large abandoned mine sites including Giant and Faro mines and CINAC’s participation in the Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan (FCSAP). As the Director General and in keeping with the Government’s commitment to reconciliation, you will establish and ensure the maintenance of consultative, outreach, engagement and communications networks and processes with Indigenous peoples and territorial and municipal governments on issues related to the NCSP.

**Intent of the process**:
The immediate need is to staff (1) indeterminate position, in Gatineau, Quebec.

It may also be used to staff EX-03 positions with various tenures (Deployment, Secondment, Assignment, Acting or Indeterminate) within Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) or Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various language requirements, and in various locations in Canada.
