Director, Financial Planning and Reporting

**We are looking for a Director, Financial Planning and Reporting**
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO) and Senior Director of Finance, the Director, Financial Planning and Reporting is responsible for the management of a team of professionals to ensure financial control, analysis and accurate reporting of all financial data. The Director will counsel and provide advice to senior management and operational staff on all aspects of budgeting, accounting, financial policy, process, rules and regulations. The Director will also ensure that accounting standards and practices are respected by the Museum and contributes to the quarterly and annual corporate financial statements including working paper submission review and oversight.

**Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in**:
- Financial environment-government and/or private sector;
- In the development, planning and implementation of financial strategies, policies and processes;
- Financial planning and budgeting;
- Accounting operations and auditing;
- Managing employees.
**Knowledge of**:
- CMH/CWM mandate, priorities and programs;
- Financial administration and financial management practices and techniques;
- Financial accounting and cost accounting principles and practices;
- Government planning and budget control practices;
- Financial analysis techniques such as cost benefit, NPV etc.;
- Management information and control systems;
- Financial Administration Act;
- Financial reporting techniques, systems and practices;
- Roles and operating procedures of federal government central agencies and services;
- Advanced functionality of Excel
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV or other FMIS.
**Education**:University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Commerce. Professional designation(s) required: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
**Compensation**:MG5 -$122,404 to $155,837
**Status**: Permanent Full-Time Position (# 10503)
**Security Clearance**: Enhanced Reliability
