**The opportunity**:
The University of Manitoba is looking for a Project Coordinator. This position will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of the project; planning the NCTR research, selecting and directing project researchers to implement the research plan, and overseeing the ingestion of research results into the NCTR Student Death Register and upcoming Burial Register. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for all required data collection and reporting on for the project, coordination of the research program and will ensure the research results are compiled and integrated into the Student Death Register and Burial Register for discovery, access and use. The project Coordinator will also guarantee that Indigenous tradition and protocol is followed in the creation, access, and preservation of the data and deliver a final report summarizing the project findings.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Management or related field required.
- Professional Certification in management considered.
- Four years of directly-related administrative experience required.
- Experience in management projects involving large sets of highly sensitive, personal information required.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities required.
- Experience in projects coordinating project team members required.
- Experience managing large budgets required.
- Experience managing IT resources required.
- Experience planning research workflows in groups required.
- Experience delivering large-scale project reports required.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to make decisions and plan and control projects; required.
- Strong risk management skills required.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
