**Job Summary**:
The People & Culture (P&C) Generalist works as part of the People & Culture team to develop, build, and implement HR programs and initiatives. This position is responsible for supporting leaders through the employee lifecycle by providing support to Directors, Managers, and Supervisors in navigating performance issues, the performance evaluation process, workplace investigations, and employee related issues. The People & Culture Generalist will also provide support in recruitment and training and will be responsible for developing new People & Culture processes and will work on projects as needed.

**Your Role**:
Archway’s People & Culture (P&C) Generalist with the People & Culture team contributes by:

- Providing advice, support, and facilitation to leaders on employee relations issues, including discipline and discharge cases, workplace accommodation matters, attendance management cases, and other conflict cases.
- Supporting leaders in minimizing risk on legal and compliance issues, ensuring adherence and interpretation of all relevant legislation, policies and procedures, and the collective agreement.
- Facilitating the workplace complaints/grievance processes by conducting investigations.
- Supporting the P&C Team in developing and delivering training programs across the organization to support both compliance needs and employee growth.
- Providing support to the Recruitment and Engagement Specialist by attending career fairs, facilitating information sessions at education institutions and community partner organizations.
- Assisting in creating job descriptions that are in alignment with the organization’s job families and compensation plan.
- Supporting the Manager of P&C in implementing new programs and working on special projects.

**Getting an Interview - you will be considered if you have**:

- Degree or Diploma with a focus on Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources.
- Generalist experience in Human Resources.
- Experience building and implementing HR processes and tools.

**The Job Requires you to have**:

- Strong written, verbal, and active listening skills; able to communicate effectively and respectfully with a variety of people.
- Well-developed knowledge of the BC Employment Standards Act, the BC Labor Relations Act, the Worker Compensation Act, the BC Human Rights Code, and principles of Employment and Labor Law.
- Well-developed conflict management skills; able to communicate effectively in adversarial situations.
- Ability to research and analyze information.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Well developed computer skills, able to use office 365 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is a condition of employment.
- A valid BC Driver's License is required.
