We currently have an opening for a full-time permanent HR Generalist, based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada.

**Position Description**

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting various aspects of human resources, including but not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, HRIS (Dayforce) Administration, Compensation and Performance Management.

**Primary Objectives**
- Full cycle recruitment: Develop and maintain proactive recruitment strategies that address skills shortages while acquiring top talent
- Assisting in the development and administration of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Pay Equity programs, measures and reporting
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of a new orientation program for our growing business

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, from job openings to conducting interviews and onboarding new team members.
- Collaborate with managers to support onboarding and orientations.
- Foster a positive workplace, acting as the first point of call to address and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth
- Provide guidance on company policies and legislation
- Support performance evaluation processes and provide guidance to managers on best practice performance management.
- Assist managers in developing performance improvement plans for employees.
- Collaborate with leaders to identify high-potential employees and develop succession plans.
- Utilize the HRIS for efficient and effective onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Provide HRIS training and support to end users
- Liaise with Payroll to resolve employee pay/benefit issues in a timely manner
- Compensation benchmarking and management of hourly compensation program
- Cross train in payroll in order to provide backup coverage and vacation relief;
- Labour relations: research for negotiations, providing advice on the interpretation and administration of the Collective Agreement
- Other related duties as required;
**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- General knowledge of the Canada Labour Code, Human Rights and Workers’ Compensation Regulations;
- High level of attention to detail, ensuring payroll and benefits information is correctly administered
- Ability to handle inquiries, interpret policies, explain and advise employees on common HR matters;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
- Excellent ability to speak and write in English;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information in an effective manner;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to switch between tasks and meet tight often conflicting deadlines;
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and requirements;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a small team;
- Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook, Teams)

**Education and Experience**
- Relevant degree or diploma in HR, Payroll, Business or relevant discipline, CPHR or SHRM Designation an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
- Proficient in core office programs (MS Office) and capable of learning payroll/HR software
- Labour relations experience, an asset
- Previous experience with an HRIS, specifically Ceridian Dayforce preferred
