**Your Opportunity**:
The primary responsibilities of this position include:

- Assist the Coordinator, Recreation Operations with the design, layout, installation and maintenance of terrain park features and terrain park builds
- Assist with hiring, training, evaluation, and providing feedback to the Terrain Park team
- Support with the design and delivery of staff training before and throughout the season
- Supervising, motivating, and developing staff involved in maintaining terrain park features
- Ensure that staff are visible in the terrain park and taking a proactive approach to educating the public on the safe and appropriate use of the terrain park
- Support with administrative duties including staff scheduling, documentation of features and required incident reports
- Maintain clear and open lines of communication with Snow School, Patrol, Snowmaking and Grooming departments
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
- Other duties as assigned

**Your Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of terrain park design and maintenance
- 1-2 years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Freestyle coaching certification (CSIA, CASI, CSF or CFS) willing to pursue is an asset
- Working knowledge of snow resort operational and risk management issues
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective lines of communication across departments
- Strong decision-making skills: able to make informed decisions quickly and feel empowered to serve the customer better, escalating appropriately when required
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Able to work outside in varying weather conditions and adapt to the challenges associated with a busy outdoor environment.
- This position involves working flexible hours that may include evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays (i.e. Christmas Break, New Years, March Break).
- Ability to travel to a site not serviced by public transit.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- A valid Ontario Drivers Licence, minimum Class “G”, with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract is required. _*Abstract completed by Conservation Halton_.
- Skis/Poles or Snowboard
- Helmet
- Black snow pants (no patterns) _*Uniform jacket will be provided for the season_
