**A Day in the Life **

Reporting to the Manager, Goodman Group, the Professional Development Coordinator supports the development, implementation and evaluation of non-credit professional development seminars and certificates to not-for-profit, public, and private sector organizations in the Niagara Region and beyond. The incumbent seeks new and supports management of existing relationships internally and externally while enabling student experiential learning and opportunities for faculty.

**As the** **Professional Development Coordinator, you will**:

- Support the identification, organization, marketing, and coordination of a series of seminars, over three terms annually, through GSB faculty and other industry experts;
- Coordinate the process of seminar/program development and administration from responding to program inquiries, including supporting needs assessment process, developing proposals, designing programs, contracting Faculty, delivering programs on campus, on site, or online and evaluating seminar/program performance;
- Research, investigate and support development of new revenue-generating adult education programs directly and/or through third-party providers;
- Support to development and management of strategically aligned projects enhancing Goodman’s ability to support the needs of external organizations, or to improve Goodman Group operations;
- Seek new and support management of existing relationships within Brock and between Goodman and external organizations;
- Ensure high-quality service delivery;
- Work with internal stakeholders to facilitate services for external organizations, including building interest in specific opportunities, coordinating scheduling and workload issues;
- Represent the Goodman Group at events;
- Develop proposals for programs and services;
- Develop and manage project plans and project budgets;
- Maintain inventory and support purchasing of supplies/equipment.

**What you need to Succeed**
- An honors Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, etc.);
- A post graduate degree in a related discipline or Project Management certification will be an asset;
- At lest 2 years of progressively responsible experience in a related field and demonstrated experience of Project Management and effective communication
- Proven ability to independently design and evaluate projects simultaneously, including project budget;
- Expertise in curriculum design, development, and the principles of adult education;
- Ability to work effectively with entrepreneurs, senior business professionals, and senior faculty;
- Proven ability to thrive in an often unpredictable, fast-paced, dynamic environment;
- Self starter, results driver with an entrepreneurial mindset;
- Strong customer service orientation, with the proven ability to build lasting relationships and trust;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver persuasive messaging tactfully;
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem solving skills;
- Solid computer competency including Microsoft Office suit including Access & MS Teams, Qualtrics, social media and WordPress.

**Preferred or Asset Skills **
- Familiarity with GSB programs, faculty and the Niagara Business community;
- Experience with a start-up or entrepreneurial venture and/or business consultation.

**Salary and Benefit Information**
- Job Grade (K), Salary Scale ($57,400-$98,400)*;
- Target Hiring Range: $57,400-62,000
- This position includes full comprehensive benefits.
