Private Club Executive Chef

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee menu development for restaurants and banquets and work closely with Sous Chef in this capacity
- Connect with members frequently in person regarding their dining experiences
- Effectively address members' and staff concerns
- Development of an excellent understanding of the needs of the membership for dining

requirements and executes plans accordingly
- Organize and conduct employee training programs
- Coordinate scheduling, inventory and ordering
- Work within our Payroll software, Payworks, ensuring that hours are tracked correctly
- Oversee kitchen staff to ensure quality, speed, and consistency of food on the line and

banquet production
- Ensure cost effective food preparation
- Monitoring food cost reporting and communicate fluctuations with Food & Beverage

Manager and General Manager
- Plan and implement specials with Sous Chefs, Restaurant Manager, and Food &
Beverage Manager
- Staff performance management with day-to-day check-ins and more formal yearly written experience check-ins
- Actively contribute to inter-department teamwork and collaboration with positivity and a

willingness to collaborate
- Provides service excellence to members and guests
- Attends events and functions at the Club where applicable overseeing the major Banquets that happen at the Club. Working prior with the Event Coordinator on menus and the day of, with execution
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality food is consistent with member needs and evolving

trends
- Ensure existing government licensing conditions are adhered to
- Ensure London Club policies and procedures along with hours of operation are adhered to
- Ensures the physical areas are well-appointed, clean, and maintained
- Ensures compliance with all Health and Safety standards

**Qualifications**
- At least 8 years hands-on culinary experience
- A proven track record, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity

at a private club or food and beverage establishment
- Experience in the delivery of food and beverage excellence
- Experience in Banquets and events
- Minimum of a diploma or certificate in culinary arts or a relevant field
- Excellent communication, writing, and public speaking skills
- A diplomatic personality able to foster relationships with members, Committees and

employees
- Strong leadership skills
- A team player who can lead, organize, engage, and train staff effectively
- Proven ability to enhance performance, through effective organization and execution
- High standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity
- Ability to influence progress through cooperation, conflict resolution, and facilitation
- Innovative approach through critical thinking, collaboration, and evaluation of food and

beverage services
- Strong organizational and administrative skills

This is a permanent year-round, full time salary position, reporting to the General Manager. Applicants must be flexible and available for evenings and weekends.
