Dispatcher/clerical Person

**Overview**
Comox Pacific Express is looking for an experienced Dispatcher/Clerical person in our Campbell River Branch
Position is full time based 9 hour shifts with a paid half hour lunch, Monday to Friday, starting at 7 am. Hire must be able to work various Monday to Friday shifts to cover holidays. Starting wage will be based on experience and will be evaluated by performance. Position includes above average benefit plan and retirement plan once hire has completed a 90 day probation period.
Applicants are required to have good knowledge of the Comox Valley and surrounding areas. Be able to work in a faced paced environment while having strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment. Be willing to learn all aspects of operations and do basic administrative duties when required. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills both over the phone and in person. Handle customer issues and provide appropriate resolutions. Must have excellent time management and organizational skills to complete daily duties and follow them through to completion. Must be reliable and have their own transportation. Must possess basic computer skills.
**Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Analyze transportation data to optimize routes and improve efficiency
- Enter and update shipment information accurately in the system
- Monitor freight movement and provide timely updates to stakeholders
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) such as SyteLine for dispatching tasks
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to service level agreements
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette when interacting with drivers and customers
**Requirements**:
Duties would include but not limited to the following:
- Dispatching of drivers after routing loads based on the requirements as requested
- Answering inbound telephone calls
- Make outbound calls to arrange deliveries
- Data entry, filing and other administrative support as directed
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
