**Position: Training and Development Manager**

**Position Location: BURLINGTON; VAUGHAN; or TORONTO**

We have an opportunity for you Yvon Building Supply is currently looking for a Training & Development Manager. Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Training & Development Manager is responsible for the continuous training of drivers pertaining to federal and provincial regulations. The Training & Development Manager will also instruct drivers on driving techniques and safety protocols, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic laws and company policies.

**What you will be doing**:

- Maintains a safe working environment by following Yvon’s health and safety guidelines.
- Teaches safe and defensive driving techniques to new drivers and help experienced drivers improve their skills.
- Develops and implements training programs and curriculum for drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, including but limited to Working at Heights, Boom, Forklift
- Conducts driver evaluations to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to drivers on their performance.
- Tracks and reports on driver training and progress to management.
- Maintains training records and documentation of driver certifications and licenses.
- Schedules and conducts driver training sessions, both in the classroom and on the road.
- Conducts refresher training for drivers on a regular basis to ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Implements safety programs and policies to minimize risks and accidents involving fleet vehicles, e.g. Collision Emergency Program, Investigation Process, etc.
- Develops and manages budgets for vehicle maintenance, fuel, and other fleet-related expenses to control costs.
- Ensures training programs are updated with updated regulations and industry practices.
- Assists VP, Operations with the coordination of the service of equipment due to incidents such as breakdowns or accidents.
- Conducts and assists managers on the investigation process following an emergency collision.
- Completes tasks promptly and efficiently to ensure critical equipment is back in service quickly, minimizing downtime.
- Evaluates health and safety practices and procedures for risk assessment.
- Committee member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- Provides assessment and recommendations for the continuous improvement of the safety culture.
- Advising, collaborating, and supporting managers regarding related strategical health and safety rules and regulatory requirements are respected.
- Coordinates and supports investigations and root cause analysis for injuries, releases, regulatory deviations, near miss accidents and property damage incidents.
- Stays abreast of relevant health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with provincial, federal, and industry-specific standards.
- Identifies potential health and safety hazards in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Education**
- Post-secondary education equivalent to one year of Business Management or equivalent preferred.

**Experience**
- Greater than 5 years related working experience
- DZ Driver’s License

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
