Libro is on a mission to find a passionately accountable full-time Regional Manager, Community Banking supporting our Huron Perth region.

The Regional Manager, Community Banking is responsible for leading and fostering an effective advice & service culture within Community Banking teams across a Region of Libro Credit Union. They are responsible for effective delivery of holistic financial advice and coaching across personal and wealth segments through clear and actionable sales planning in pursuit of regional and corporate goals.

Effectively coach staff to achieve their potential. Monitors regional sales activities, growth, expenses, and revenue. Responsible to inspire and motivate teams within the region to achieve goals and targets while ensuring the Owner service and Staff experience is exceptional. Regional Manager, Community Banking displays leadership within the community in support of Libro’s Pillars and works to create a culture throughout the team that encourages involvement and impact locally that is aligned to Libro values and in promotion of awareness and growth.

The Regional Manager, Community Banking is responsible to work collaboratively with the Regional Manager, Business Banking and Wealth segment leadership to ensure strong cross segment co-operation, relationship building, and referral networks across teams. Lead teams that collaboratively build ongoing market development strategies and plans, facilitate succession and staff planning excercises, and prioritize ongoing staff and leader development within the region.

Effectively utilize sales leadership skills to build a mature sales management culture within teams

Inspire teams through a clear vision, motivates through encouragement, reinforcement, and coaching to maximize performance. Driving high levels of leader accountability

Create and foster an environment that encourages personal responsibility and empowers staff with staff appropriate autonomy to make decisions and resolve problems

Play an active role setting expectations and facilitating succession, career, and role development planning discussions with direct reports

Lead teams to build well-defined sales plans at the team and individual levels (ISPs), aligned to target market segment with the goal of deepening relationships, building Owner loyalty, and earning share of wallet

Utilize market and Owner segmentation and other data and insights to plan long term market development priorities and strategies aligned to market opportunity and Libro goals

Seek to intimately understand community needs and Libro’s role as a connector, supporter, and advocate

Find opportunities to connect Libro’s Pillars to the needs of the community and regional economy, cultivating opportunities for mutual benefit, growth, and development

Actively monitor key risk and compliance metrics to ensure team and regional compliance including and not limited to; FINTRAC new owner compliance, cash controls, physical security, credit risk, approval authorities

Create a culture of smart risk taking, empowering local leaders to make smart risk decisions accompanied with high levels of accountability through ongoing audit and compliance reporting processes

Have a strong financial background and corresponding understanding of Libro’s business model and ownership of local decisions that drive growth and profitability

Experience/Qualifications

Post-secondary degree

6-8 years’ experience within financial services or sales leadership

5-7 years of direct leadership, mentoring and coaching experience

Personal Financial Planning designation (PFP) or comparable considered an asset
