**Purpose**:
The Supports & Services Coordinator is responsible for maximizing student engagement and success through supporting students impacted by critical incidents, facing personal crises or multiple complex issues. The Coordinator supports students, staff and faculty regarding care and support services related to student rights and responsibilities, judicial processes, critical incidents and sexual violence. Supporting the office of Student Conduct and Community Relations the role will work to resolve complaints regarding inappropriate student behaviour informally or through formal disciplinary processes, advocates for students to secure accommodations, financial assistance, stopouts/leaves, emergency housing and provides education and training on students' rights and responsibilities to students, faculty and staff. In supporting the Centre for Sexual Violence and Education the role participates in program development, provides training, facilitates workshops and coordinates awareness and education programming and campaigns. This role also provides supports and services to students who are respondents of sexual violence and ensuring staff and faculty respondents are provided with supports through the appropriate University offices.This position is a member of the critical response team and provides support to students of concern as identified. The Coordinator will provide services at both the Glendon and Markham Campuses primarily with additional support for the Keele campus as required. Proficiency in English and French is required.

**Education**:
Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Gender Studies, Equity Studies or Education, Critical Disabilities Studies, Public Health, Education) or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Masters degree in relevant discipline preferred. Sexual Violence, Mental health and dispute resolution training preferred.

**Experience**:
Minimum 3 years' progressive experience in case management coordinating services, advising and dealing with multiple complex student issues, student conduct cases, critical incident, crisis management and gender based violence, alternative dispute resolution or related experience. Experience supporting community members on issues related to conflict, mental health, behavioural concerns and sexual violence from an intersectional lens. Experience coordinating safety planning and/or risk assessments with those who have experienced violence. Experience facilitating training and/or running educational groups preferred.Lived experience of intersectionality preferred.

- Ability to be resourceful and locate community and organization supports such Women's Centre, food banks, safe housing, security and emergency resources
- Understanding of administrative law principles
- Strong understanding of intersectionality and anti-oppression frameworks
- Demonstrated broad understanding of equity and inclusion
- Demonstrated ability to act calmly under pressure and to deal effectively and efficiently with stressful and emergency situations with patience and discretion
- Ability to produce detailed and comprehensive reports from a large volume of complex information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team and with a diverse population in a large organizational structure
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), web based mail (e.g., Outlook) and proficiency with web content software
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of creating student success: Connection, Courage and Empathy
- Maintaining confidentiality

- **Compensation**:
York's CPM Compensation Framework has a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.
