The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the National Government of the Red River Métis - also known as the Manitoba Métis. The Red River Métis are Canada’s Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.

The MMF seeks to fill **one full-time Health Informatics Analyst **position within our **Health & Wellness Department **located at 150 Henry Avenue in **Winnipeg, MB**. The Health Informatics Analyst will develop systems used to collect, configure, and analyze data, and identify ways to improve and foster databases integration and reporting efficiencies.

**_ Job Duties/Competencies:_**
- Design, develop, and maintain systems to store and manage Métis Health data, ensuring data integrity, security, and privacy;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data collection needs and define data models and structures to accommodate diverse data types;
- Implement data standards, protocols, and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and interoperability of Métis Health data;
- Monitor data systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks to optimize performance;
- Evaluate, select, and implement informatics tools, software, and systems to support data management and analysis for Métis Health data;
- Integrate Métis Health data systems with other organizational systems to facilitate seamless data exchange.

**_ Skills and Qualifications:_**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, health informatics, data management, or a related field;
- Proficiency in informatics tools and techniques for data analysis and visualization (R, Python, Tableau, etc.);
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and experience implementing data security measures;
- Familiarity with health informatics standards, data interoperability, and health data exchange protocols;
- Strong knowledge of database management systems and data modelling concepts;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Experience working for a not-for-profit organization and Indigenous community is an asset;
- Knowledge of Red River Métis culture, MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
- Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
