**PERMANENT PART-TIME LEARNING FACILITATOR**
**(24 hours/week)**
**West District**

The Learning Facilitator promotes and facilitates professional learning both within Karis Disability Services and with other stakeholders as delegated. The Learning Facilitator will work collaboratively with the Workplace Learning team as well as the District administration team in coordinating and delivering courses within the areas of Halton, Peel, Hamilton, Niagara, Waterloo & Wellington.

The Learning Facilitator will respect and uphold the Values, Vision and Mission of Karis Disability Services, demonstrating the highest standards of courtesy and respect in their dealings with other employees, persons supported and both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:
**Course Delivery**
- Deliver approved courses to Karis Disability Services employees, and to external organizations both in person and online.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Administer tests and marks, and work in partnership with the Workplace Learning department to recommend improvements to Karis Disability Services courses.
- Set up training site based on course being taught and participate in course review and updates.

**Administrative/General**
- Upgrade personal and professional skills and maintaining current training certifications.
- Comply with the appropriate course registration and record keeping expectations.
- Any other administrative tasks

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years' relevant experience
- Related College Diploma; Education and teaching certificates are considered an asset
- Full G Driver's License and access to reliable transportation given the frequent travel that this role requires
- Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- **Preferred**:_
- Previous course facilitation experience
- Previous Developmental Services work experience
- Familiarity with audio visual presentation equipment
- Knowledge of database systems

**Salary**: $23.72-$26.29 per hour
