About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Learning Specialist to join our team at Waste Management. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees.

Job Summary

The Corporate Learning Specialist will be responsible for facilitating virtual classroom learning, evaluating participant performance, providing feedback, and coaching to reinforce learning. This position requires strong technical aptitude, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with learning management systems and creating reports.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or Education, or equivalent work experience. Additionally, you should be bilingual in French and English, spoken and written, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate training courseware and practice activities to ensure mastery of training objectives
  • Coordinate the delivery and instruction of material for both new and existing training offerings
  • Select the appropriate learning modes to engage trainees in active learning
  • Use various instructional strategies to ensure content is delivered given the learning environment
  • Guide groups to acquire skills, make decisions, or complete tasks using facilitation techniques
  • Manage unproductive participant behavior and keep trainees focused on the task at hand
  • Perform needs assessments of participants during classroom instruction
  • Develop a holistic view of performance problems, identify root causes, and suggest training-based solutions
  • Work independently with project management aptitude

Travel Requirements

This role requires up to 60-70% travel to facilitate training, primarily within Canada. The ideal candidate will live in the Kitchener ON, Brampton ON, or Anjou QC area.

Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position in Canada is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, based on location and industry standards. This salary range represents a competitive offer, considering the required qualifications and experience.
