**JOB SUMMARY**

Permanent Part-time (20 hours/week with possibility for increased hours in the future)

Day-time hours with some evening and weekend work as required

Hybrid work environment - On program and event locations & remotely

**Salary**: $25,000/year

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Fund Development & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing organizational fundraising strategies and events, developing fundraising goals, organizing third party initiatives, creating sponsorship proposals, and soliciting funds from community prospects, and supporting the Executive Director in grant writing as directed. The Fund Development and Marketing Coordinator also works to support the promotion of the organization through implementing marketing campaigns, tracking marketing initiatives, identifying target audiences, producing promotional materials, blog posts, impact videos, etc.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Fund Development (60%)**

1. Research, plan, and execute all aspects (including logistics, sponsors, volunteers, etc.)

of fundraising and events

2. Maintain positive relations and communications with U-Turn Parkinson’s donors,

sponsors and stakeholders

3. Support the development of grant proposals and applies for funding

4. Identify, cultivate relationships, and be the primary liaison for major gifts, third-party

fundraisers, and the network of dedicated donors

5. Assist in the development of fundraising goals and works to achieve and surpass them

6. Manage the donor database and guide the donation management process (receipting,

thank you letters, recognition)

7. Participate in the budget development; estimates and monitors fundraising budgets and

ensures budgets are adhered to, and tracks fundraising goals

8. Collaborate with the staff, board and appropriate committees

**Marketing (40%)**

9. Plan, design, coordinate, and implement successful marketing campaigns (internal &

materials, website edits and page development)

10. Set up tracking systems for online marketing activities and evaluate and monitor

campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating

comprehensive reports

11. Develop and disseminate press releases to media outlets

12. Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing campaigns

13. Conduct market research, identify trends and analyze competitors

14. Performs administrative and other duties as required

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**

English essential - Bilingualism a strong asset

Experience working in the non-profit sector; awareness of challenges faced by those with movement disorders an asset (or committed to learning about them)

Considerable knowledge of planning large-scale fundraisers and events

Proficient with computer programs and software including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, client, donor, and volunteer management software, communication software, an aptitude to learn new software and systems, and social media literacy.

Demonstrate excellent time-management and organizational skills, ability to exercise independence of judgment, and initiative to establish work priorities and adapt to changes.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public, internal and external agencies, and address varied audiences on topics related to fundraising and marketing.

Proficiency in data entry, tracking donor trends and ability to prepare concise reports and correspondence.

Ability to work as part of a team and independently to move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Detail-oriented and efficient.

**REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS**

Post-secondary education in Fundraising Management, Certified Fundraising Executive designation, Marketing/Communications, or equivalent education and experience.

Minimum 2 years’ fund development, project organization and/or communications experience

Possession of a valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certification with CPR “B” or “C” and AED or willingness to obtain.

Valid Driver's License with access to private transportation.

Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
