Lonza Kingston is **IMMEDIATELY** hiring a Data Analyst Intern to join Lonza's Product Management team, for a 12-18 month contract position. The Data Analyst Intern will collect domain context from stakeholders, defines root cause hypothesis and prioritizes tasks, identifies and creates supporting data sources, conducts experiments with various algorithms to model prioritization of tasks, undertakes validation and tests of models to improve performance, produces pipelines that can be used to automate training and predictions with unseen or product related data, identifies meaningful insights from data sources, and contextualizes model outputs to communicate with stakeholders (product managers, cross-functional teams, and end consumers).

Our goal is to increase our capabilities while maintaining our platform as the market-leading platform for patient-scale cell therapy manufacturing.

This position is fully remote with occasional site visits to our Kingston office. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00p.

Key responsibilities:

- Database management
- Data collection and review of coding errors
- Data organization of unformatted files, solve issues and errors from unstructured records.

Key requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree required; Focus in the following areas: Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Systems Engineering, Business Analytics, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, preferred.
- Some working experience with database maintenance and data entry required.
- Advanced level MS office suite especially Excel and MS Power BI required.
- Problem solving, critical thinking, team collaboration, good communication and organizational skills required.
- Must have some coding experience to be able to organize data and correct internal complaints and errors.
- Must be able to demonstrate some abilities and/or have a proven record of success with identifying and addressing client needs using the following techniques, tools and programs:

- Machine Learning;
- Deep Learning;
- Natural Language Processing (NLP);
- Generative AI;
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, R, Java, SQL, Jupyter Notebooks, IDEs);
- Data wrangling/modeling;
- Structured data storage technologies (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL);
- Unstructured data storage technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Neo4j);
- Big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark/PySpark, Kafka);
- Testing tool experiences (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, Postman);
- Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Zoomdata, PowerBI);
- DevOps technologies & tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes);
- Cloud Platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP); and,
- Scrum/Agile Methodologies.
