**Job Summary**

The Manager, Internal Communications is responsible for managing the OMA’s internal communications, including building strong connections between employees and the work of the OMA and its members as a key point of pride and purpose. The role will create opportunities for cross-organizational communication from leadership to employees, employees to leadership, and across teams using all available corporate communication channels. This includes regular analysis of channels to ensure they effectively reach all intended audiences. This position also integrates and manages the organization’s internal communication channel strategy, internal branding and content strategy aligned with the OneOMA strategy.

In addition, the manager will create and manage internal communications to support employee engagement, change and culture initiatives at the OMA, including establishing a co-created strategy with key partners and defining key metrics. This includes serving in an advisory capacity to management on matters related to these topics, advancing change management efforts, and providing communication counsel to the EVP, People & Culture.

**You Will Make a Difference By**
- Establishing consistency with the OMA brand strategy and standards and in support of OneOMA, directs all aspects of internal communications strategy, channel management, consultative planning and support services including writing, editing, presentation preparation and event management.
- Contributing and communicating the OMA’s Key Drivers of Public and Member Trust to internal audiences underscoring the impact on the business and actions to drive positive impressions and perceptions.
- Creating opportunities for cross-organizational communication from leadership to staff, staff to leadership, and across teams using all available corporate communication channels.
- Aligning programming with employee engagement and change management efforts through active participation on all relevant committees and working groups (project-specific).
- Responsible for managing and evolving several employee engagement platforms, including developing and oversight of technology architecture and managing relationships with vendors.
- Providing support, advice, training and coaching to staff in other departments to enhance internal communications at the OMA.
- Providing line management for two employees including coaching, developing team members in inclusive environment.
- Providing close partnership with the Advocacy, Communications & Marketing team and the Executive Office by aligning communications strategies and programming to deliver on OMA Strategy.

**Requirements That Are Important to Us**
- Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing.
- Minimum 6-9 years of experience
- Specialized knowledge in communication management, culture, employee relations, employee engagement, high level writing skill, graphic design, and video editing.
- Prosci considered an asset.

**The OMA has moved to a permanent hybrid work environment. As such, the individual in this position will be required to work a minimum number of days in our Toronto office.**
