BLG’s Toronto Corporate Commercial team is looking for a resourceful and dynamic individual with a growth mindset that can help solve for today while building for the future. Come experience the momentum with BLG

You will be a key member of a dynamic and innovative group of lawyers, law clerks and legal support staff, providing the highest level of service to our clients. You will have the opportunity to cultivate your skills as part of our successful national Corporate Commercial team, within Canada’s premier full-service law firm.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

- Act as a primary contact for the Corporate Law Clerk teams’ daily department correspondence in accordance with firm policies
- Maintain the Corporate Record database for accuracy such as updating client contacts/notes/resp. lawyer changes, etc.
- Assist law clerks with maintenance of corporate minute book records
- Assist with digital minute book records
- Support and identify other digital transformation opportunities with the corporate law clerk team processes
- Arrange and monitor courier deliveries
- Assist with various corporate compliance related matters and other projects as required
- Contribute to and support the Corporate Law Clerk team client service standards

What you will bring to this role:

- Community College Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent post-secondary / paraprofessional education
- Experience with Corporate records an asset
- An interest in a law clerk career path
- Proven track record of client service attributes
- Superior organizational, data management and problem solving skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills, particularly with the Firm’s preferred technologies (including iManage, CorpLink, MS Office with focus on Excel and Outlook)
- A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
